Right in front of the high school in La Fortuna de San Carlos, lies Lunática, a great Costa Rican art gallery. The vibrant display of colors is bound to grab your attention, and perhaps compel you to purchase a painting to adorn your living room. Every time the art gallery renovates its stock it is supporting artists from Costa Rica and other parts of Central and South America. For instance, at Lunática you will find paintings made by a cooperative of local women who capture in their paintings the typical life lived around the Arenal Volcano. The art gallery also features works by Costa Rican indigenous tribes like the Maleku Indians of Guatuso, as well as the Bribrí, Chorotega, Boruca, and Guaymies tribes.
